Paradise found at an affordable Price! “ I must have come across thousands of properties in my forty plus years in real estate in Southern Spain, but never have I seen a place of such natural beauty, man made construction and natural environment in such harmony radiating peace and tranquility!” (Michael Paessler, Andalucía Premier Estates) This heavenly property lies in the north-west corner of Andalucía, in the province of Huelva, somewhere between Seville and Portugal and while it seems to be in the middle of nowhere Seville and its international airport is just around the corner and can be reached by car on very good roads in under one hour. The nearest town (population of 9.000) with shops, banks, restaurants and bars is just 2 km away and can even be reached on foot. The paradise extends over 22,5 acres (9 ha) and is fully fenced. Large open fields compete with 230 olive and 175 mature cork oak trees interspersed by blobs of colorful flowers. The original water tank fed with spring water has been converted into a natural swimming pool with an adjoining wooden deck inviting Adam and Eve for a refreshing bath to be followed by a siesta in the warm andalusian sun. But we are running ahead…. There is, of course, the Finca, originally built over one hundred years ago and fallen into ruins in the latter part of the 20th century. When the present owners visited the property the first time they immediately were captivated by the charm and peacefulness of the land and decided in 2005 to rebuild the Finca keeping as much of the old construction as possible and improving with modern installations. The result is a comfortable, cozy, sun flooded two storey home of 300 sqm. After passing a 23 x 6 m east facing covered patio the visitor is welcomed into the bright entrance hall. To the left is the “reading room”, a roomy and comfortablel reception room from where a guest double bedroom with en-suite bath is entered. Turning right is the extra large kitchen. It is really more than a kitchen as its over 50 sqm incorporate also what the americans call a den and where the family congregates when the weather prevents outdoor living. Next to the kitchen and accessed from there is a large multifunction room serving as the laundry, the work shop, the bodega and the general storage where everything can be dumped for which there is no use any longer. From the entrance hall a staircase leads to the upper floor the landing of which is big enough to serve as the owner’s office. There are two good sized double bedrooms with en-suite bath, one either side of the landing with beautiful views over the valley, pool and gardens. At the rear of the Finca facing west is another partly covered patio rich with wisteria, aromatic jasmin and many other flowers inviting the visitor to relax and enjoy the sun setting behind the mountains. Leaving the Finca a dirt track winds up the the Casita, a small cozy cottage for guests or for rent. In its 57 sqm is a rustic open plan kitchen/living room and a large double bedroom with en-suite bath. In front is a private patio and a small fenced garden to keep the goats out. The Casita has also its own drive way to the main road thus avoiding to have to pass the Finca when leaving the property. The present owners love horses and while rehabilitating the Finca have built brand new accommodation for their horses. There are 5 large horse boxes facing each other and a big barn forming a “U” with the stables. It goes without saying that in all construction the best materials were used and all buildings are in excellent condition. There is mains electricity, water from three wells, telephone, satellite TV and Internet. There is so much more to tell …
